the art of living well. the art of living consciously.

body • light and colour • environment
the scientific perspective
Entrainment anchors are designed to support the process of conscious pattern work by working directly with the sensory and regulatory systems of the human body. From a scientific standpoint, we know that sensory cues can stabilise attention, regulate the nervous system, and reinforce new behavioural and emotional pathways. There are three types of anchors that can include a variety of components.
suncatcher - colour and light anchors
Research in neurobiology and psychology shows that colour and light influence the autonomic nervous system, emotional states, and attentional focus. Certain colours can evoke calm, clarity, alertness, or grounding, helping the system shift into states more receptive to integration. Each anchor can be created using a single or combination of colours to support your specific focus.
body-based anchors
When we physically touch or hold an object associated with a particular practice or intention, the brain forms somatic–emotional memory links. This supports the consolidation of new patterns helping us to work with the how the pattern is held in our physical body. Each body anchor is created with colour and sacred oils and can be held or placed on the physical body to support somatic integration, if sacred oils are used they can work directly with the olfactory senses. Body anchors are created for each individual and contra-indications may apply when working with sacred oils.
environmental anchors
Environmental cues can shape nervous-system responses through what’s known as context-dependent memory. A specific placement of light, colour, form, or geometry can gently remind the system of the pattern you are working with, developing greater awareness and capacity for contemplation, supporting the healing spirals of release and invention and creativity.
Together, these components operate through known biological mechanisms—sensory processing, autonomic regulation, memory formation, and attentional shaping—to support the gradual release of old patterns and the stabilisation of new ones.
hypothetical possibilities
fields, frequency & the subtle dimensions of entrainment
Alongside the scientific perspective, I also work with hypothetical and contemplative understandings drawn from quantum biology, field theory, and ancient wisdom traditions.
From this wider perspective, colour, light, geometry, essential oils, and natural materials can be viewed as expressions of frequency—vibrational patterns that interact with the human system. While these ideas are not yet fully scientifically supported, they invite us to explore how our energetic bodies may respond to subtle cues within the wider field of life.
Some contemplative traditions and emerging scientific theories suggest that:
the human system may be responsive to coherent frequencies in light, colour, and natural materials
essential oils—rich in structured molecules—may carry unique oscillatory signatures that interact with biological tissues
geometry such as spirals and vortex structures may reflect natural organising patterns found throughout living systems
our own inner state may influence and be influenced by the fields we participate in, allowing entrainment objects to act as focal points for coherence, intention, and possibility
These hypotheses are offered as invitations. They encourage curiosity about how energy, sensory perception, and conscious awareness may interact with the wider field of life. They work with your curiosity to be open to wider possibilities and experiences.

the components
beeswax, copper, colour, light, sacred oils and clear quartz
Each entrainment anchor is crafted with intentionality, natural materials, and an understanding of the pattern you are working with. Every element has been chosen for its physical properties as well as its symbolic or contemplative significance
organic beeswax
A natural, living material that responds to warmth, touch, and time. Beeswax is stable yet malleable—mirroring the process of pattern transformation. Its subtle honeyed scent and softness help anchor the system into a feeling of warmth and safety.
copper spirals
Copper is a highly conductive metal associated with flow, communication, and vitality. The spiral form reflects the organising patterns found throughout nature—water movement, plant growth, galaxies, and the structure of the human body. It symbolises flow, evolution, return, and expansion.
colour & light
Colours are selected carefully to resonate with the specific pattern you are working with. Colour supports attentional focus, emotional resonance, and nervous-system entrainment, while the play of light within the anchor subtly shifts perception and deepens sensory memory.
clear quartz
Clear quartz is widely regarded as a crystal of clarity and coherence. Its internal lattice structure refracts and amplifies light, and it is also known for its ability to store and hold energetic impressions, making it symbolically aligned with memory, intention, and integration. Within the context of these anchors, quartz represents stabilisation, focus, and the consolidation of new patterns.
sacred oils
Anchors can include a carefully chosen sacred oil —rose, frankincense, sandalwood, blue tansy, iris, jasmine, myrtle, and others. These oils are selected based on your individual process and are used to create a subtle olfactory signature.
Scent is the fastest route into the brain, directly influencing emotional centres, memory consolidation, and autonomic regulation. As a result, sacred oils function as powerful embodied anchors, helping the system recall the qualities, insights, and states experienced during one-to-one or group work.
plant-based renaissance varnish
To protect the anchor while preserving its natural feel, each piece is finished with a plant-based varnish made from a traditional Renaissance recipe. This varnish supports durability without sealing or suppressing the natural qualities of the materials—it maintains the structure of the beeswax, the warmth of the copper, and the living expression of colour and light.
It creates a breathable, protective layer that allows the anchor to be held and used over time, while remaining aligned with the organic integrity of the piece.
These components are brought together to create an anchor that is unique to you. Every anchor is crafted individually after one-to-one or group work, based on:
the pattern you are actively working with
your emotional and sensory responses
somatic or symbolic themes arising in the sessions
the colours, oils, or materials your system resonates with
No two anchors are the same. Each one is a physical, sensory, and symbolic companion—an artefact of your inner work designed to support you day-to-day as new patterns stabilise and take form.
